The iYouth final EU-wide seminar on 21 February 2013 in Brussels

The iYouth final EU-wide seminar was held on 21 February 2013 in Brussels, Belgium.

The seminar brought together 75 participants from 24 EU Member States, representing youth, youth organisations, national youth councils/umbrellas, local/national as well as EU-level institutions' representatives, academics and other stakholders.

For the Czech Republic, there were present 5 representatives from IOM Prague, META o.s., Czech Coundil of Children and Youth,  the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (department of youth) and migrant youth.

During the seminar, iYouth partners presented the project's findings and recommendations in terms of advancing youth integration and prevention of exclusion (including a range of practical examples of how youth organisations successfully engage with migrant youth), as well as concerning the application of peer review methodologies for assessing integration practices.

In addition, the seminar enabled discussions on the opportunities for further empowering youth organisations and migrant youth themselves at EU, national, and local levels, and provided an opportunity for exchange of views and networking among youth integration stakeholders.

Seminar results and recommendations can be downloaded here:  http://www.iyouth-project.eu/seminar .
